Making an Op-Amp: a needless exercise?
Do I already have plenty of ICs ready to use? Yes. Is this overcomplicating things? Probably. Is there a practical advantage to this? Quite the opposite. Is this a desperate display of free will? Kinda
Making an Op-Amp: a needless exercise?
Preface: Pretty much all of the material and circuit design is covered and inspired by Mitsuru Yamada’s Hoemade Operational Amplifier project here
Short and sweet
Forget the needless fluff. This is me making an op-amp circuit (even though Op-Amp IC’s are widley available and far more time-and-cost-effective)
Why you may ask? I learn best when I break things down and I noticed the other day my understanding of Op-Amps has diminished greatly.
So, to cover my shame, we’re going back to basics
The circuit
Im gonna add some photos, a diagram remake of the circuit in KiCad, and also add the original circuit design from Mitsuru (with credit ofc)
Reflections & suggestions
Not sure what to add here yet tbh
